Sign in to vote. We're a k school running on a server network. For the past six weeks our windows 7 professional and enterprise machines have started having problems logging in. The welcome screen takes minutes before the login screen will even show up. After the login the screen turns black but with a mouse cursor visible. It will eventually login but it may take a couple of hours. I can navigate regedit and the Group Policy Editor, and other maintenance consoles.

Any and all help appreciated. Matter resolved, by my own efforts. I was never able to directly resolve the problem with the "The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship" message.

Most of the fixes I found in Technet instructed to rename the computer and rejoin the domain. Unfortunately, as mentioned, the local Administrator account had been disabled.

The only local account active was the default configured "User". I found another pw erasing utility, which did succeed in removing the pw for both User and Administrator. It had the added benefit of being able to enable the Administrator account.

I was finally able to logon and make the changes. Doing my own further research, and after configuring logging of all login and logout activity, I found the following:. The TGT process is failing with Kerberos error codes 0x19 and 0x Login attempts still failing. The user admitted that he had changed the time zone settings depending on where he was at AUS, Los Angeles, elsewhere , though I still am not sure if this is the cause.
